Juan Arango close to signing with Xolos

The arrival of Cesar Farias to the mangement of Xolos could open up a possiblity to Juan Arango to como play here in Mexico, which was one of the manager's petitions when he came to the club. “If there is a possibility for a good contract then I would be glad to be there to check it out" stated the player happily. Arango, who still does not have a solid contract with the German team Borussia Mönchengladbach, also stated that he was very happy that his National team manager and the president form Xolos would take him in consideration. If they reached an agreement this would be his fourth Mexican shirt he would defend after playing Monterrey, Puebla and Pachuca. For those who do not know Juan Arango, he is considered in football "La Zurda de Oro" meaning he has a golden left leg. Being considered one of the best Left legged players in the world an one of the best free-kickers in the planet.

Golden Boy 2013

Today FIFA announced that the award of the golden boot was for the Juventus' midfielder, Paul Pogba.

This award is given to the most outstanding young player of the year in Europe. Last year this award was given to Real Madrid's Isco for his incredible playing in Spain. This year without a doubt it had to be for Pogba, at such an early age he has done unimaginable plays and goals and has earned a spot on the starting team of Juventus. He also had a spectacular U-21 tournament with France were they claimed themselves champions with no rival as good as them. He was the base and the playmaker of the young squad were he was captain. He is a player with a lot of future and at this moments many clubs want him in for the winter market. The French young man is definately a player to keep an eye on in Brazil 2014 where many believe that he will also be a figure for the mighty France. Congratulations to the young and talented Paul Pogba for one of many awards he will receive in his career. 

 

World 11 2013

Brazuca

Yesterday Brazil introduced the ball for the world cup next year, the Brazuca. On a live media conference from Brazil they introduced to the world the ball which will be played with next year at the world cup. Some people found it not very attractive by the designs it has on it but in a certain way it symbolizes the country and the tournament with its colors and exotic design. Throughout the years the balls have been different and by far this ball is the most elegant of them all. Just days before FIFA announced that every baby born on Tuesday would get a Brazuca for free and parents just had to claim the ball with the baby's birth certificate. 

Athletic Bilbao 1-0 Barcelona

FC Barcelona had a nightmare in San Mames. Gerardo 'Tata' Marino's team was looking foward to getting a victory after losing in the week in the UEFA Champions League. But Athletic Bilbao broke the  26 game win from FC Barcelona. Bilbao still has not lost in their new stadium San Mames with 6 wins and 2 draws and put themselves and in the top spots of the table trying to qualify to european tournaments. In the first minutes of the game, Iraizoz was solid in the moments when FC Barcelona tried to attack. Even though Tata tried he could not turn the game around with the strikers' little efficiency. The heroe of the game was Iker Muniaín, who scored the difference at minute 70'. With these results Barca stays at the top of the table with 40 points while Athletic Bilbao sums up 29.

Ballon d'Or to Ronaldinho

Eight years ago on this same day football's magician, Ronaldinho, won the award to the best player in the world. Having shined with both Barcelona and his national team he beat the great englishmen Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard having the majority of the votes from FIFA. He is one of the most loved players in the history of football for his 'magical' tricks and his radiant smile on every picture he is in. Although Brazil was a great dissapointment and was not even called to play in South Africa in 2010 he expects to be in a greater level for the World Cup in Brazil next year.

Ajax Fan

A fan of the Ajax has been evacuated in the rest of the Ajax-Barcelona of League of Champions after rushing to the emptiness from the steps to several meters of height. The event has produced instants to itself after Hoesen was marking the second one so much of the Dutch equipment. The fan has affected the soil with violence golpenándose the head. Buffon's Vote

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon revealed today his 3 candidates to win the Ballon d'Or. Gianluigi said he had chosen as a favorite his team mate Andrea Pirlo to win. He then declared that his second vote would be Cristiano Ronaldo and in third and last place he had chosen Lionel Messi.

Mexico on to Brazil!

After beating New Zealand on a global score of 9-3 they were the 31st team to qualify to the World Cup in Brazil next year. The first game Mexico had taken the lead 5-1 in Mexico City last Wednesday. Last night in Wellington, New Zealand Mexico beat the all-whites with a score of 4-1 achieving one of the last tickets to Brazil. Overall the team played very offensive but not defensive and allowed a few goals. All of the players were extremley awed by the results of all the hard work them and the directives had. 

Sweden vs Portugal

Two idols and an alone quota. This way can be summarized the previous one of a duel as decisive as that of Sweden - Portugal, which this evening will define his luck for a quota to the Glass of the World of Brazil 2014. 

Only one, Zlatan Ibrahimovic or Cristiano Ronaldo, will be able to demonstrate in the country of the samba that he can be the best of the world. Other one will have to postpone the illusion four more years. Though in case of 'Ibra', already of 32 years, this one can that it is his last opportunity to reaffirm that his path can be considered to be one of the best in the history of this beautiful sport.

Germany 1-1 Italy

In one of these international friendlies from the FIFA, Germany visited Italy in the Giuseppe Meazza stadium. Both teams showed little of the power they have now a day, and in general it was not a great game. The first half was really exciting compared with what happened in the second half. By the hand of Mats Hummels Germany was on the lead at minute 8', but it did not last long with Ignazio Abate's great goal at minute 28'. In the second half there was too little game, both countries wsted too many opportunities that could have changed the things.

Germany will have time to rest today in Milan then fly to England  in the next few days to face them in their great home Wembley. Meanwhile Italy will travel too to England to face the Green Eagles of Nigeria in Crave Cottage stadium, both of these countries preparing for the World Cup next year in Brazil.

Big Comeback

After being injured for almost 6 months, 40 year-old Javier Zanetti made his comeback on saturday November 9th 2013. Although he only played for 8 minutes he was really excited to return to play for Inter in the 2-0 win against Livorno. Last year Zanetti renewed his contract with Inter until the end of the 2013-2014 when everyone expected him to retire. His loyalty and love for his club has surprises everyone that has heard of him being that almost every player that is that old never keeps their high level. After giving out the news that he was foing to extend his contract he added that he would come back stronger and better than ever. He is a real hero in the world of football giving an example of that a great captain never leaves his team in bad moments.
